Murder Mystery Party

Our friends Alisha and Patrick invited us to a Murder Mystery party. Bob had never attended one before and it had been maybe 10 years since I last attended one. It was fun to dress up and go out for the night.

I was a woman who had 4 previous husbands, I loved to go to Paris and Milan to go shopping every few weeks, and owned an art gallery.* I had to bring a prop from school. Thinking I had a pack with 1's, 10's, and 100's- but I ended up with just a pack of 1's. It still worked though.

Bob was a young bachelor who was could never settle down with one woman. He was in line to inherit his father's business.

Patrick's character always said MEGA in front of everything he said, and it was so funny! It was a great night.

It was so much fun to see Patrick and Alisha, meet some new friends and eat some good food. I wish we had taken a group picture. One of the couples had switched the parts and the girl dressed as the guy and the guy as the girl. It was pretty funny!

Little Shop of Horrors

On Halloween we went to the Hale Center Theater and watched Little Shop of Horrors. It was a great play. We really enjoyed the acting and singing. Bob had never been there before and was a little shocked at how small the theater really is. We didn't know that the dress code was Halloween best, so we saw Shrek and his wife, purple people eaters, 80's girls, witches, and a lot of other fun costumes. We were definitely under dressed for the evening.

Where will we be?

This coming year there will be some changes in our lives. Bob has been applying to pharmacy schools and slowly one by one we are hearing back. Bob had his first interview in Manchester, New Hampshire and we found out last night that he has been accepted. When I looked at the map, I said no. Way too far away. But the more I have thought about it, the more I like it. We are excited knowing we have a place to go. But, we still have 8 schools to hear back from. Most are on the west coast. One in Utah, and one in Washington- both places we would like to live in. A lot of schools don't send out interviews until January-March, so it is a bit of a waiting game. I am so proud of Bob- and can't wait to start the journey of pharmacy school!

Snuggie

For those of you who needed proof.... I wear this almost everyday. Especially since it has gotten cold this week. (We went to Walgreens the other day and they have leopard print, pink, and BYU styles. So Jealous!)

Halloween Fun

We celebrated Halloween last night with Matthew and Emily. Tonight we are going to the Hale Theater to see Little Shop of Horrors. Hopefully we will be able to avoid some of the trick or treating children.

Bob dressed up as Napoleon Dynamite, sweatsuit style. And I was, well, the package said Desirable Devil, but I told the kids I was a bat devil.

The evening started out with awesome table decorations and soup in a pumpkin bread bowl. We also had some hot wassail, and fruit salad.

We all participated in a trivia game about Halloween words. I thought I missed them all for sure, they were tricky. But Matthew and I pulled out a win getting 7/12 right. Bob and Emily both came in 2nd place with 6.

We then carved green peppers. I told Bob to go for it, and ours ended up being the green pepper covered in wax- it looked pretty good! Emily and Matt carved theirs to look like both Bob and I. Each on one side.

Using biscuit dough we made some donuts- which turned out really good. We finished off the night by watching The Corpse Bride and eating pudding. Thanks Matt and Emily!

{Temple-Pizza Tradition}

Since school started we have made a goal to go to the temple once a week. We go every Wednesday after I finish school. It is so nice to be in a habit, and not ever wonder when we are going next.(Temple painting done by Jeff Brimely, I just found it on google and thought it was pretty.)

We finish around 6:00 and are always starving. (We usually eat dinner around 5.) After a long day of teaching (no prep on Wednesday's) and then attending the temple, I don't feel like cooking dinner. There is a pizza place just around the corner from our apartment called Wise Guys. We went their once during the summer, but it was a little expensive so we hadn't gone back. We did sign up for their coupons via email though.

Every Wednesday they have individual pizzas for $1. These are just cheese pizzas but they are 8 inches and one is enough for dinner. (almost enough for Bob.) If you want toppings, each one is 50 cents extra. So every Wednesday as we leave the Temple we order 4 pizzas. We each eat one that night and then eat the leftovers for lunch the next day. It is around $6 for 4 pizzas and a topping on each one. We love it!

Fall Break Day 2

Day 2 was not waht I imagined, and quite different from yesterday. Needless to say, my house is still a mess.

Woke up with a headache and my stomach hurt.
Threw up, went back to bed.
Watched a movie
Head hurt even more so I took some ibuprofen
Threw that up minutes later.
Laid on the couch all day long.

Husband bought me a snuggie and the Proposal. (I know everyone will laugh, but I am ALWAYS cold and he is always hot, so Snuggie works out. We can still hold hands and cuddle and the blanket is only on me.) Mine is actually the blue one, that is all they had at Smiths. The Proposal was just as good as it was in Theaters. (Somehow I always watch that movie when I am sick.) Still feeling icky today. Hopefully I am better by Monday. School's calling my name, even if I am trying to ignore it.
